How long does it take to complete the CPAexcel Self Study Course?

The time required to complete the entire Self Study Course is comparable to the CPAexcel Guided Seminars. To complete all four exam sections, usually requires about 10 to 16 weeks. The schedule is intensive and requires an up-front commitment of 2 to 3 hours per weekday and 8 hours per weekend. The typical study commitment is 18 to 23 hours per week, compared to 30 to 40 hours per week to achieve a comparable level of knowledge using a classroom seminar.

You may participate in an individual exam section or the entire series of four exam sections. Individual exam sections typically require 30 to 40 days to complete. If you have mastered some of the required material then you can "test out" of those areas and save yourself a significant amount of time.

Do I get any books with this?

No. The CPAexcel course content is entirely computer-based. This allows us to keep the material updated per the AICPA Content Specifications. However, it is possible to print the material from your computer. Printed workbooks and Gold Medal Flashcards are available as separate purchases.
